LYSTRA ROSE’s The Upwelling (Hachette Australia) won the Prize for Indigenous Writing and We Who Hunt the Hollow by KATE MURRAY (Hardie Grant Children’s) won the Prize for Writing for Young Adults in the 2023 Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards, announced February 2, 2023. The award will be presented at Balticon in Maryland on May 26, 2023. Flynn, and receive a certificate plaque, a sterling silver medallion, and two lapel pins, all featuring the likeness of Robert A. ![]() Heinlein Award, given for ‘‘outstanding published works in science fiction and technical writings that inspire the human exploration of space.’’ Winners are chosen by a committee of SF authors chaired by Michael F. JOHN SCALZI is the winner of the 2023 Robert A. The award is the highest honor offered by the group, and ‘‘recognises authors whose crime writing careers have been marked by sustained excellence, and who have made a significant contribution to the genre.’’ Mosley will be honored at a gala ceremony to be held July 6, 2023. WALTER MOSLEY, 71, won the 2023 Diamond Dagger Award, presented by the Crime Writers’ Association. ![]()
